After Cassel's solid Wembley debut for the Vikings, what does this do for a Ponder? Will he get his job back (if fit) against the panthers after the bye? Or given the way the offense performs performed does Cassel get another shot?!

A few pundits on Total Access are a bit bemused by this. Some believe Coach Frazier is playing games. If it was up to me I would stick with Cassell.

Now you can throw Freeman into the mix then I think it will shortly be curtains for Ponder in Minnesota. Short term contract suggests the draft in 2014 is still preferred option for new franchise QB. Up to Freeman to try and change their minds I guess.....
