Week 7 sees a Southeastern Conference game as the Florida Gators (4-1) visit the Tiger Stadium to face the LSU Tigers (5-1). The visitors have a tough defence up against a talented offensive line.
The No.17 Gators are on a three game winning streak. Their defence is ranked 2nd in College football and have only given up an average of 12.2 points per game. The offensive line have the ability to run and pass the football. Freshman QB Tyler Murphy has 530 yards, 5 TD's and an interception, he has also been sacked 3 times. The Gators may also look to junior QB Jeff Driskel who has 477 yards for 2 TD's and 3 interceptions. Driskel has been sacked 4 times. RB's Matt Jones 2 TD's and Mack Brown 3 TD's have 322 and 284 yards respectively. WR Solomon Patton has 27 catches for 427 yards and 4 TD's. WR's Trey Burton and Quinton Dunbar have 282 and 274 yards respectively.
The No.10 Tigers are looking for their 2nd win in two weeks. Their defence have not been as tight as the Gators. Despite only 1 defeat they gave up 44 points in a narrow defeat to Georgia in week 5. The LSU offensive line have some potential NFL stars in the line up. Junior QB Zach Mettenberger is ranked in the higher echelons of college football. In six games Mettenberger has thrown for 1738 yards, 15 TD's and 2 interceptions. Mettenberger has been sacked 11 times. Sophomore RB Jeremy Hill knows how to move the ball up the field, he has carried the ball 594 yards for 9 TD's. WR Odell Beckham has 35 catches for 686 yards and 6 TD's. WR Jarvis Landry has 42 catches for 616 yards and 7 TD's.
This should be a good game with a mean defence facing up against a ruthless offence. Over 92,000 will be packed into the Louisiana State University football ground tomorrow.
