Cincinnati Bengals (4-2) at Detroit Lions (4-2) Ford Field.
It’s 1st in the AFC North vs 1st in the NFC North as the Bengals and Lions go head to head.
The Bengals are on a two game winning streak right now after wins over New England and Buffalo. QB Andy Dalton may not be the first name on everyones fantasy team sheet but the Cincinnati No.14 is going about his business without any fuss in an offense that is ranked 11th overall. Dalton was productive last week throwing for 337 yards and 3 touchdowns, his best figures this season. WR AJ Green had his best game since week 1. Green had 3 receptions for 103 yards and a touchdown.
The Cincinnati defense don’t give up too many points, just 14.5 per game. OLB Vontaze Burfict leads the way with 61 combined tackles. DT Geno Atkins and DE Carlos Dunlap each have 4 sacks this season.
Head coach Jim Schwartz is in search for the Lions second straight win after coming off a 31-17 win in Cleveland. QB Matthew Stafford threw for 248 yards and 4 touchdowns last week. With WR Clavin Johnson and the dual threat of RB Reggie Bush on the offense, the Lions are a match for anybody on their day. Johnson is listed as probable (knee).
The defense may only be ranked at 26th in the NFL but OLB DeAndre Levy has 4 picks this season. The Lions have 10 takeaways in total. They will be looking to add to those numbers as Andy Dalton fires out wide to AJ Green. Green is a major threat and the Lions secondary are going to have to be on their game.
This one could boil down to who wants the “W” the most. No one is talking about this game in week 7 but it has all the ingredients for some good play on both sides of the football.
key men
Cincinnati - AJ Green, he will be a likely outlet for Andy Dalton.
Detroit - Reggie Bush, the running back has the ability to carry the ball or make smart runs into the passing channels.
