Week 9 concludes with the old rivalry match up between Chicago (4-3) and Green Bay (5-2).
The Bears will be looking for a much needed win tonight as they aim to keep in contention in the NFC North. Josh McCowan will come in behind center in the absence of Jay Culter (Groin). It will be interesting to see if McCowan can feed the wide receiver corps lead by Alshon Jeffery and Brandon Marshall. Matt Forte has yet to run for more than 100 yards in a game this season, he ran for 91 yards and three touchdowns in the week 8 defeat to the Redskins.
The Bears have struggled on defense, ranked 26th overall they have just nine sacks. Lance Briggs leads in tackles with 64 and two sacks.
Green Bay are on a four game winning streak. The Packers will see themselves as favourites for this game but Mike McCarty won't be approaching it in that manner, he will take nothing to chance. When you have a quarterback like Aaron Rodgers in your team there is always a chance - Rodgers ever calm and calculated in the pocket. There is no surprise that they have the second best overall offense in the NFL. Jordy Nelson had seven receptions for 123 yards and two touchdowns in last week's win over Minnesota.
AJ Hawk and Mike Daniels are going to be chomping at the bit to get to the stand in Chicago quarterback tonight. The Packers defense have just three picks and it will be interesting to see how they approach the game, double coverage could be an option on Jeffery.
Set your sky+ box for this one, it promises to be a great game. Don't be surprised if there is an upset tonight, with the way the NFL has gone this season we should just accept that everything is the normal.
Key Men,
Chicago Matt Forte, if the Bears' passing game goes belly up, Forte might be the player to run the ball hard.
Green Bay, Aaron Rodgers, a quality quarterback that operates well under pressure.
