This is arguably one of the games of the week. Other than Minnesota there is nothing to separate the rest of the NFC North. Both teams on 5-3 will not want to give anything away on Sunday. There is never a dull moment when either of these two teams play. Both are 2-1 in the division and both are on just a one game winning streak.
Matthew Stafford keeps getting admires, October was a productive month for him with nine passing touchdowns plus his last ditch dive into the end zone against Dallas. Calvin "Megatron" Johnson needs no introductions, don't be surprised to see him with double digit touchdown figures after the game on Sunday night. Stafford will not be afraid to throw to Megatron if he is on double or even triple coverage. Reggie Bush ran for a hundred yards and a touchdown last week and head coach Jim Schwartz will be delighted that his offense is ranked 3rd overall in the NFL.
The defensive side of the game does not really compliment the offense, producing just 13 sacks which is the third worst record in the league.
Bears fans might be wondering how they will cope without Jay Cutler. Josh McCowen did a decent job agains the Packers on Monday Night Football, he threw for 272 yards and two passing touchdowns. He is no elite quarterback but on Sunday he will not be up against an elite defensive line either. Running back Matt Forte had his game of the season against the Packers, rushing for 125 yards and one touchdown. Forte certainly has the quality to exploit the Detriot defense. The wide receiver corps offers the starting quarterback two very good weapons in Alshon Jeffery and Brandon Marshall. Both have over 600 yards receiving and would be an asset to any franchise.
Both defenses are ranked 25th and 26th respectively overall, expect plenty of points on the board. This game will not be a 10-7 game but could finish 38-35 in overtime.
Cancel your Sunday appointments once more, Sky+ is not an option for this one as there are sure to be plenty of talking points to come out of it.
Key Men
Detroit - Megatron, enough said.
Chicago - Brandon Marshall, with six touchdowns to his name he has an opportunity for a big game in week 10.
